How to Request Data Deletion

Send a Deletion Request Email
Email us at privacy@thethoughtcatcher.com with the subject line: "Data Deletion Request"

Include Your Account Information
In your email, please include:
- • The email address associated with your ThoughtCatcher account
- • Your display name (if set)
- • Confirmation that you want all data permanently deleted

Receive Confirmation
We will process your request within 30 days and send you a confirmation email once your data has been permanently deleted.
What Data Will Be Deleted

- ×All your thoughts and journal entries
- ×ThoughtBoxes and organization data
- ×AI-generated insights and analysis
- ×Memory recaps and summaries
- ×Tags, links, and metadata
- ×Account profile and settings
- ×Search history and vectors
Retained Temporarily
- ○Payment records
Retained for 7 years for tax/legal compliance
- ○Anonymized analytics
Non-identifiable usage statistics may be retained
- ○Backup systems
Data in backups purged within 90 days
Important Information
- •Data deletion is permanent and irreversible. Please export any data you wish to keep before submitting a deletion request.
- •If you have an active subscription, it will be cancelled but you will not receive a refund for the current billing period.
- •Deletion requests are processed within 30 days of receipt. You will receive email confirmation once complete.

Delete from Within the App
You can also delete your account directly from the ThoughtCatcher app:
- 1.Open ThoughtCatcher and go to Profile
- 2.Scroll down and tap Delete Account
- 3.Confirm your decision when prompted
